Last year the committee organised fundraising events for St Mary’s which raised in excess of £7000. As a non profit organisation, this money goes straight back into the preschool, making it a better environment for the children we care for. In addition to raising money, the committee get involved in all sorts of things – from gardening and painting, to relocating the preschool from one site to another. Each year we even give Santa a helping hand on his float around Lymm! Please have a look at the photos below to give you a little bit of an insight into what we, together with staff and other parents, do and how much fun we have.
Tidying up the garden, the children help too!
Preparing for our move to Cherry Tree:
The committee is currently made up of mums and dads of past and present preschool children. Some of us have full time jobs, some of us don’t. Some of us like to garden, some of us don’t. Some of us like to help with the paperwork, some of us don’t. Some of us like to sort out the outside space at preschool – some of us prefer the inside. We all have different ways of helping our preschool but we all have the same aim – to make a difference to St Mary’s and what a rewarding job it is!
If you are interested in getting involved in the St Mary’s Committee, please speak to any member – details on the Committee page – we would love to hear from you.
